Another tool that adds to the value of the Wealthy Affiliate membership is that you get free web hosting.  If you don’t know what web hosting is, it’s the space you use to hold your website online.  You can’t have a site without hosting, and most of the time you have to pay for it.  There are a few free hosting sites out there, but they mostly are supported by ads, meaning, they will put adds on your website.

The WA hosting package allows for 3 domains to be hosted, meaning, you can have 3 different websites addresses, you can also add subdomains to those three domains, so you really have a lot of flexibility with it.  I currently only host one of my domains there ( I must note that you have to buy your own domain name, these aren’t that expensive at all).

My experience with their hosting is a love hate relationship.  I love it, because it is free, and it’s more space I have online to host and create my identity.  That said, compared to some of the other services I pay for, the management interface, which uses the Plesk system, can get a tad slow at times.  This doesn’t effect the website, and most people won’t use the Plesk system much after they setup their domains, as most of the work will be done with your web building software and an FTP client.

However, I do a little more work than the average person, so I like to get into my hosting account and play with various settings and such.  So, I have to be real and say at times, it’s a little slow for me, but, this shouldn’t discourage  you, because it’s free, and it does work, my site has never been down, and when I am just using my web software and FTP I never notice any issues.

Overall, it’s just another feature that adds to the value of Wealthy Affiliate.  If you join, you really will have all you need to get started, even the tools in place to get your web identity started. (you’ll need to purchase you own domain name, this is your online address or identity)
